Tasmania – Events

The Tasmania Chapter’s main event for 2017 was hosting the ASPG’s annual conference.

The theme for the Conference was Engaging Parliament: Fostering Parliament’s relationship with its stakeholders. The Conference explored themes regarding the Parliament’s relationship with the other arms of power; ways to better engage the public, minority groups and the next generation; and considered the role the media has in shaping the public’s perception of Parliament and parliamentarians and whether they are accountable.
